The NWRCGInc deliberately keeps its membership fees low to encourage participation. Annual membership is $1.00 per rider per year, and each rider pays $2.00 for each ride. It is stressed that members should carry their own insurance, and good schemes can be obtained through membership of Bicycle Tasmania and Bicycle Victoria.

As members, we all have to act responsibly at all times to take care of ourselves, our fellow riders and fellow road users. This entails courteous behaviour such as riding in single file when appropriate to allow other vehicles to pass safely, helping those who need assistance etc. At all times, our riders must follow the road rules. We also strongly encourage riders to wear bright safety coloured clothing to make it easier for other road users to identify riders. And importantly, it is important that riders select the ride that is most appropriate to their present skill and fitness levels.
